NTU Guided autonomy in a pattern-matching-AI-powered milli-handling robot
Date
October 2022 - June 2023
Location
Nottingham Trent University
Project type
Individual research project module (dissertation) at Nottingham Trent University
Description:
A common problem in any electronics research is after the development takes place, there may be a pile of electronic components needed to be sorted. Sorting this pile of electronic items is a tedious and long process that affects the electronic waste produced. I aim to deliver a working prototype of an autonomous robot using ROS and a custom-made end effector attached to a mobile manipulator (shown in the image) that either sorts or picks up electronic parts and places them correctly through guided autonomy.
