My responsibilities as a team member:
Develop servo motor control code in python on raspberry pi.
integrate ROS SLAM to map a given room the robot is in using a lidar.

Description:
My team was tasked to create a mobile manipulator robot with integrated lidar mapping. The robot must map the room wirelessly and must be controlled in real-time. The manufacturing methods used to create the robot during this project include laser cutting for the body, cutting aluminium extrusions and CNC machining for the wheel brackets. The software used includes ROS noetic and python as the main programming language on a raspberry pi. The project resulted in a fully functional ROS SLAM robot. a video can be found ADD THE VIDEO
